Ronald O. Wetzsteon

Ronald O. Wetzsteon, 63

Poulsbo resident Ronald Owen Wetzsteon died Oct. 20, 2005. He was 63.

He was born to Harvey and Dorothy (Seelye) Wetzsteon in Sonoma, Calif. on July 30, 1942.

Wetzsteon married Julie Jeffries on March 6, 1965 in Kent.

He was raised and educated in the Bitter Root area of Montana.

Wetzsteon served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1981 and retired as an E-7 GMGC. He was a deep sea diver. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Anartica Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Navy Achievement Medal with Bronze Star.

Following his retirement from the Navy, Wetzsteon worked at Bangor as a rigger, retiring in 2004. At the time of his death, he was working as a tribal gaming agent for the Point No Point Casino in Little Boston.

He enjoyed his family and friends and working in his yard.

Wetzsteon is survived by his wife Julie Wetzsteon of Poulsbo; sons Timothy Wetzsteon of Poulsbo, Dennis Wetzsteon of Edmonds and Ronnie Joe Ewart of Missoula, Mont.; daughters Rhonda Correll of Port Orchard and Deanna Hilse of Poulsbo; brother Bill Wetzsteon of Montana; sisters Lona Smith of Helena, Mont. and Doreen Houlett of Missoula, Mont.; and 14 grandchildren.

There was a memorial service Oct. 27. He was cremated at Cherry Grove Crematory and will be inurned at Tahoma National Cemetery.
