Ronald Gracey

Ronald Gracey, 79

Former Poulsbo resident Ronald James Gracey died Nov. 1, 2006. He was 79.

Gracey was born to James and Lillian Gracey in West Seattle on Sept. 15, 1927.

Gracey married Lola Murk on Nov. 18, 1951.

He attended Ballard High School.

He began building homes with his father at age 17 and owned and operated Gracey Electric Service in West Seattle for 45 years. In the early 1980s, he started Gracey Nursery with his son Glenn.

Gracey enjoyed salmon fishing, boating with his family and building a summer home in Gamble Bay.

Gracey is survived by his wife Lola of Everett; sons Garry (Gwen) of Everett, Greg (Marilyn) of West Seattle, son Glenn (Kaylene) of West Seattle and Gordon of West Seattle; daughters Gwen (Shawn) Thomas of Kingston and Gail Harrison of Federal Way; brother Loren (Joyce) Gracey; and 11 grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Nov. 5 at West Side Presbyterian Church in Seattle.
