Rollin Michelsen, 84

Rollin Michelsen of Poulsbo died March 7, 2006. He was 84.

Michelsen was born to Joseph J. and Caroline (Hochalter) Michelsen on March 23, 1921 in Regan, N.D.

He married Doris Mae Johnson on March 1, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Michelsen graduated from North Dakota State University in Fargo, N.D.

He served in the Army Air Corps from 1942-1945, achieving the rank of Tech Sergeant.

Michelsen worked as a teacher at Jane Adams Junior High in Seattle for 30 years.

He enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Kiwanis and Christ Memorial Church.

Michelsen is survived by Joseph C. (Paula) Michelsen; daughters Patti (Bob) Laschinski and Jean (Mike) Braun; sisters Ruby Johnson and Carol Asplund; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Michelsen.

A memorial service was held March 10 at Christ Memorial Church in Poulsbo. A private burial will take place at Cherry Grove Memorial Park.
