Roger Thorson, 82

Roger Thorson died Aug. 7, 2006 at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton. He was 82.

Thorson was born to Justin and Hannah Thorson in Crooks, S.D.

He married Lila Thorson.

Thorson graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. and the University of Northern Colorado.

He worked as a principal at Pine Valley Elementary School, and he taught at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.

He enjoyed excellent coffee, ice cream and a good game of bridge.

Thorson is survived by his wife Lila Thorson, son Todd (Connie) Thorson; daughter Juli (James) Thorson Eflin; and two grandchildren.

Services were held Aug. 12 at First Lutheran Church of Poulsbo.
