Rodney M. Jarvis of Poulsbo died Oct. 12, 2007 in Poulsbo. He was 68.

Jarvis was born to John and Margaret Jarvis in Bremerton on Aug. 6, 1939.

He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1957, and attended Olympic College.

Jarvis worked for Boeing for 29 years, retiring in 1996. He served in the U.S. Army for two years.

He enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling and spending time with his family.

Jarvis is survived by his wife Elizabeth; son Bradley Jarvis; daughters Carrie (Wayne) Christensen and Cheryl (Don) Lamm; stepsons Greg (Debbie) Fittro, Todd (Linda) Fittro and Bradley Fittro; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jarvis was preceded in death by his first wife Phyllis, his sister Marilyn Christensen and his grandson Joe Lanning.

Arrangements are being handled by The Stone Chapel.

Services will be held on at 11 a.m. Oct. 27 at The Stone Chapel in Poulsbo.
