Robert Roy Mick, 70

Robert Roy Mick, known to friends and family as “Bob,” died peacefully June 14 in Gig Harbor.

He was born in Rapid City, S.D, on Aug. 10, 1937 to Roy and Mina (Kamper) Mick.

He grew up in the Poulsbo area with his brother William “Billy” and two sisters, Marilyn and Sharon.

Mick graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1955. He sang in the choir and was voted the “most handsome” of his graduating class.

A life-long electrician by trade, he served the Kitsap and Bainbridge Island areas. He is remembered by fellow tradesmen as very tough, skilled and hard-working.

Mick fathered three children. He loved camping and motorcycle riding with them and other friends and family at lakeside property near Shelton.

He is survived by Charlotte “Sharon” Walker of Gig Harbor; his children Susan Bray, Michael and Thomas Mick; grandchildren Ryan, Christopher, Jacob, Jordan, and Hayden; and sisters Marilyn and Sharon and their families.

At Bob’s request, there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers or other remembrances, any donations could be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
