Rick Courson

Beloved husband, father and friend, Rick Lee Courson passed away Monday July 6, 2015 at the age of 64. He is survived by his wife Charmaine of 46 years and their children Monique (Rob), Celeste (Bob), Brady, Shalin (Jared), Robby (Cate), Cambryn and grandchildren Vanessa, Timothy, Sophia, Conner, Logan, Daniel, Collin, James, Braeten, Joshua and Sarah.

Rick was born in Walla Walla Washington where he and Charmaine grew up. His career began 37 years ago when he became a contractor. In 1990 Rick founded the family business Cedar Bay Homes in Silverdale, Washington. He quickly became a respected green home builder. Rick’s achievements were many and he received countless awards, among them two time Kitsap County builder of the year, 2004 Kitsap County Home Builders Association president, 2009 HBA Life Director Award, and several Special President’s Awards.

Rick had many enjoyable hobbies. He was an enthusiastic ukulele player with the H.U.G.S. group. He was also an avid Glass Odyssey Corvette Club member, touring and showing his “Tweety Bird” yellow ’76 Corvette. Rick and Charmaine enjoyed traveling, Hawaii being their favorite.

The most important part of Rick’s life was always his family. Aloha Nui Loa, My Friend, My Soulmate, My husband. Until we meet again, for eternities

Services will be held Saturday July 11, 2015 at 5PM at the LDS church located at 14910 Central Valley Road NW. We welcome our friends.
