Richard “Richie” Lopez, 43, of Port Orchard, Washington passed away on Sunday August 22, 2021.

Richie was born on February 14, 1978 in Bremerton, Washington to Christine Maxwell and Richard Moncure Lopez. Richie loved his home town so much that he did not stray far and ultimately settled down in near-by Port Orchard. Richie and his son Cristo met Jessica and Kaizen in 2011 in Port Orchard and on 5 July 2012 Richie married Jessica and they became an instant blended family. Richie was active in his community serving as a board member, coach, and umpire at SKELL, a local business owner, and sponsor of youth sports, as well as a local volunteer. Ever the ultimate father, son, husband, and friend, Richie was loved by all and will be missed by many.

Richie was preceded in death by his father Richard Lopez, grandfather Ambler Lopez, grandmother Evelyn Lopez, grandfather Gene Armbruster, and grandmother Barbara Rockman.

Richie is survived by his wife Jessica Lopez, sons Cristo Lopez and Kaizen McCann of Port Orchard, Washington; mother Christine Maxwell of Manchester, Washington; grandmother Diane Armbruster of Manchester, Washington; sister Amanda Cheatwood of Port Orchard, Washington; his step siblings Charlie, Jake, and Nichole and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A viewing for close friends and family only will be held at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on 4 September 2021 and a memorial service will be held at the Family Worship Center on Sydney Rd in Port Orchard on 11 September 2021 at 2 pm. For details please email the family at jasminesimms79@gmail.com.
