Richard Don Reynolds, 53

Richard Don Reynolds of Little Boston died April 5. He was 53.

Reynolds was born to Alva Jacob and Donna Reynolds in Clinton, Okla. on Aug. 9, 1954. He was an enrolled member of the Cheyenne/Arapaho Tribe and graduated from Chilocco Indian School in 1972.

Reynolds worked for more than 20 years at the Naval Undersea Warfare Engineering Station in Keyport. He also held various public relations jobs for places including Albertsons, The Point Casino, and Gliding Eagle Market.

Reynolds enjoyed dancing and going to pow-wows. He was an Oklahoma fancy-dancer. During his spare time, the beach was one of his favorite places to go. He also liked driving his car around, beading and making regalia for his family and friends. He was a member of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Community since 1972.

Reynolds is survived by his wife, Janet Reynolds, his two daughters, Billie Jo and Shayna Reynolds and his son, Richard A.J. Reynolds, all of Kingston. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Kalina Gutierrez, of Kingston; his mother, Donna Reynolds of El Reno, Okla.; four brothers, Barney and Jacob Reynolds of El Reno, Okla.; Frank Reynolds of Seattle, and Wilbur Reynolds of El Reno, Okla. and his two sisters, Susie Reynolds of Oklahoma City, and Karen Bear Track of El Reno, Okla.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alva Reynolds, and his brothers Robert and Elwood Reynolds.

A candlelight/wake service was April 10 at the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribal Gym.

Funeral Services were April 11 at the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribal gym.
