Michiko K. Parshall, 91, beloved wife of the late Harry E. Parshall Sr., passed away peacefully at her assisted living home in Corrales, NM on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

She was born in July, 1927 and raised in Sapporo, located on Hokkaido Island, the northernmost of Japan’s main islands.

Michiko met and was married in November of 1955 to the love of her life, Harry, while he was in the US Army on an assignment in Japan. She gave birth to their first son, Harry Jr., in August of 1956. They adopted two other boys, Bob in September of 1962 from Vietnam and Jon in September of 1967 from Korea.

She is survived by her three sons and their families: Harry Jr. and Linda of Roseburg, Oregon, Jon and Michelle of Corrales, NM, Bob and Brenda of Rochester, Minnesota, along with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Michiko was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She shared a great passion with her late husband for country western line dancing and living in the Pacific Northwest.

From the time of her passing and cremation, her spirit is protected under the guidance of the Buddha Fudo-myoo in the 49 day Chu-in period.
