Michael David Hoben of Poulsbo died July 12, 2007 in Bremerton. He was 45.

Hoben was born to David Randall and Linda Mae Butler in Ironton, Ohio on July 7, 1962.

He worked as a long line fisherman in the Bering Sea, as a heavy equipment operator and an accomplished mechanic.

Hoben enjoyed fishing, camping, family and loved the sea. He was a member of the Kitsap County Destruction Derby.

Hoben is survived by his wife Susan Gibbs; daughters Ashley and Chelsea Hoben; stepson Chad Gibbs; brother James Corwin Hoben; sister Wendy Lynn Hoben; his mother Linda Oliver; and step-grandparents Bill and Audrey Medcall.

Services will be at 3 p.m. on July 28 at Island Lake Cemetery.
