Mary Dahlem, 83

Former Scandia resident Mary Lenihan Dahlem died April 11, 2007 in San Bernandino, Calif. She was 83.

Dahlem was born to James D. and Mary A. (Moore) Lenihan in Newport, R.I. on Dec. 23, 1923.

She married Bill Dahlem on June 5, 1948 in Suquamish.

Dahlem graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1941.

She worked for the King County Health Department, Keyport Torpedo Station, Poulsbo attorney Kenneth Young and the Texaco Oil Company in Seattle.

Dahlem is survived by her husband Bill Dahlem of Hemet, Calif.; son William (Bronco) Dahlem, Jr. of Edmonds; daughters Terry (Rich) Tortora of Connecticut, Peggy (Tom Krempecki) Dahlem of Connecticut and Patty (Dick) Grant of Florida; sisters Agnes Junell of Silverdale, Kay (Jack) Jensen of Silverdale and Anne Schneider of Richland; and three grandchildren.

Dahlem was preceded in death by her brother Bill Lenihan.

Services were held on June 2, 2007 at St. Peter’s Mission in Suquamish.
