Martin Villar, 77

Martin Villar of Kingston died Sept. 24, 2004 in Bremerton. He was 77.

He was born to Macario and Alexandra (Carpez) Villar in Sogod Leytle, Philippines on June 30, 1927.

Villar married Lucia Consad in June 1953.

He was a dishwasher at the Kingston Inn for 15 years.

Villar enjoyed fishing and crabbing. He was a member of St. Olaf’s Catholic Church in Poulsbo.

Villar is survived by his sons Mac Villar of Kingston, Pastor Villar of Libya and Apolenario Villar of the Philippines; daughters Connie Camus of Poulsbo, Maria Hastings of Kingston, Elsa Albritton of California, Edith Cortez of California, Rose Villar of North Carolina, Esther Villar of the Philippines, Becky Orozco of the Philippines and Lina Villar of the Philippines; sisters Andrea Heidner, Fedla Villar and Macaria Villar, all of the Philippines; 26 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lucia (Consad) Villar and parents Macario and Alexandra (Carpez) Villar.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 30 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1 at The Stone Chapel in Poulsbo. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Oct. 2 at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church in Poulsbo. Interment will take place with the Kingston Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove.
