Madie M. Bathurst, 88

Madie M. Bathurst died June 2, 2006 in Poulsbo. She was 88.

Bathurst was born to Fred and Anna Meins in Lyman in 1918.

She married Winchell Bathurst in Puyallup July 14, 1942, he was shipped out to serve in World War II. They were married 64 years.

Bathurst graduated from high school in Lyman and attended college in Bellingham.

She enjoyed arts and crafts and volunteering with children and a Lutheran project in Guatemala.

Bathurst is survived by husband Winchell of Poulsbo; daughters Dee (Howard) Jones, Karen (Jack) Faris and Teri (Steve) Demeroutis; and five grandchildren.

Services were held June 4, 2006 at the Martha & Mary Chapel.
