Louise Emma Kelly

1926 – 2021

Louise Emma Kelly passed away on her 95th birthday at Martha and Mary care facility.

Louise was born to Henry and Sara Peterson in Eagledale in 1926. She was the third generation to be on Bainbridge Island. Her grandmother’s house is where Heyday Farm now stands. She, her mother, and daughter all attended McDonald School.

In 1947, on Halloween she married Bernard Kelly, and they settled in Pleasant Beach. “Tido” remained in that house for 65 years. She will best be remembered from the playground at Blakely School where she worked with her lifelong friend, Katie Warner, for many years.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband “Kelly” in 1996 and her younger brother Kenneth. Her survivors include brother William of Ohio, daughter Corin (Jeff Turner) Hawaii, son Craig (Susan Handby) Kingston, granddaughter Kristen (Dan Williams) Kingston, 5 great-grandchildren, Ava, Jonah, Gwen, Reid, and Jude, and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
