Loree Mae Talmadge

Former Kingston resident Loree Mae Talmadge died Nov. 6, 2003 in University Place. She was 80.

Talmadge was born to Royal and Pearl Mae (Clarey) Hansen in Billings, Mont. on Nov. 21, 1922.

She married David Thomas Talmadge in Kingston.

Talmadge graduated from Burlington-Edison High School in Burlington in 1940.

She worked as a waitress, sales clerk and owned and operated D&L Small Engine Repair with her husband.

Talmadge was a member of the Kitsap Garden Club and the Kitsap Computing seniors. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren.

Talmadge is survived by her sons David Talmadge and Don Talmadge, both of Kingston, and Douglas Talmadge of Puyallup; daughters Loree “Dee Dee” Peter and Roberta “Bobbie” Howerton both of Tacoma, and Davette Roth of Chimacum; sister Donna Nunnemaker of Dayton; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Thomas Talmadge Sr.

No services are planned. Arrangements are under the Lewis Funeral Chapel.
