Lisa Bowen Campo, 48

Lisa Bowen Campo of Poulsbo died peacefully with her sisters and mother Nov. 13 after living more than nine years with cancer.

Campo was born in Spokane where she graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in 1978. She graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont and received her master’s of public health degree from the University of North Carolina. She served as a nutritionist and health educator for many years, including the Suquamish tribe of the Makah Indian nation.

A devoted mother, quilter, cyclist, and steward of the earth, she touched the hearts of many through her enduring smile, joyful laughter, and generous spirit. Campo creating memories each summer with her family and friends at Spirit Lake, Idaho. Campo was a long time member of Cross Sound Church.

She is survived by her two beautiful children, Abigail and Simon, her mother Jane Bowen, and her three sisters Katherine Bowen Hanson, Judy Bowen, and Betsy Bowen and their families.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on Bainbridge Island Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Cross Sound Church or Young- Life Bainbridge/North Kitsap.
