Leslie Spratt

Leslie C. “Pappy” Spratt died May 18 in Poulsbo. He was 96.

Spratt was born to James Job and Winnifred (Fritz) Spratt on Feb. 20, 1907 in Greenville, Penn.

Spratt married Martha Eunice Miller on July 9, 1932 in Yakima.

He went to school through the eighth grade.

Spratt worked as a sheepherder in Montana, a farmer in Yakima, a machinist in Seattle and for PSNS until his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing, clam digging, hunting, gardening and cooking.

Spratt is survived by his sons Robert L. Spratt (Jeannie McCoy) of Buffton, Alberta, Canada and W. Dean (Joleen Billings) Spratt of Poulsbo; daughters Lorraine E. (Richard) Farrell of Port Orchard; brother Samual (Gail) Spratt of Bountiful, Utah; sister Winnifred (Al) Krage; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Spratt was preceded in death by his wife Martha, brothers Raymond, Jim and John and sisters Nora, Jane and Lina.

A memorial service will be held at noon May 24 at the Eagles Lodge, 4320 Lincoln Road, Poulsbo.
