Kyle Nielsen | Passages

KINGSTON — A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. July 22 at Kingston High School for Kyle Nielsern, a longtime teacher at the school.

Nielsen died on June 25 after a battle with cancer.

The school district issued this notice after her passing:

“It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Kyle Nielsen, a wonderful teacher at Kingston High School. Mrs. Nielsen was battling cancer and passed away peacefully Sunday, June 25, with family by her side.

“Mrs. Nielsen was with North Kitsap for nearly 20 years. She began her career at Wolfle Elementary as a classroom aide and worked at Suquamish Elementary for 13 years as the computer lab technician. She then taught at Kingston Middle School for two years before moving to Kingston High School when it opened in fall 2007.

“She was a strong advocate for the district CTE programs, staff training and development, and made a huge impact on countless lives.

“A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Nielsen on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Kingston High School Commons at 26201 Siyaya Ave. NE, Kingston.”
