Kristi (Hilstad) Shellenbarger died Nov. 12 after a battle with cancer. She was 53.

Shellenbarger was born in 1956 to David and Ann Hilstad. She showed dairy cattle in 4H and enjoyed being around horses. She attended North Kitsap Schools.

Shellenbarger is survived by her husband, Harry; her daughter, Heather; two grandchildren; sisters; Anna and Karen; and nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of her life will be arranged at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Shellenbarger’s name to the Hopsice of Kitsap County.
