Kenneth Wymer

Kenneth Wymer died Jan. 19 in Poulsbo. He was 78. He was born to Jesse Joe and Eliza Wymer in Wenatchee on March 14, 1930. Wymer graduated from Nooksack Valley High School, Practical Bible Training Institute, and Liberty University. On Oct. 9, 1948, he married Marjorie Romberg in Sumas. Prior to trusting Christ as his Savior and entering ministry, Wymer was a section foreman on the Northern Pacific Railroad. Among his interests were hunting, trapping, gardening, and restoring Model A Fords.

Until his retirement in 2002, Wymer was pastor of Bainbridge First Baptist Church for more than 40 years. He and Marjorie retired on the property of his childhood home in Skagit County.

Wymer is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, their children Kathleen (Charles) Ewing, Daniel (Judith), Timothy (Kathryn), David (Susan), and Joseph (Penny) Wymer, 17 grandchildren (Kenneth, Daniel, Mark, Matthew, Stephen, Thomas, Jason, Kimberly, Jennifer, Joshua, Jonathan, Stefanie, Andrew, Jared, Seth, Jesse, Benjamin), nine great grandchildren (Holly, Maya, Elias, Hudson, Jonah, William, Olivia, Jacy, Dax), and two sisters. His parents, brother, and two sisters preceded him in death. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 31 at Bainbridge First Baptist Church.
