Kenneth Ernest Nelson (Ken) passed away peacefully on Feb. 11 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton. He was 81.

Ken was born on Sept. 26, 1934 in Vancouver, B.C. Prior to moving to Poulsbo, Ken spent time as a Canadian Mounted Police in Ottawa and worldwide director of food and beverage for Holiday Inn Hotels. He prided himself on finding a great “deal,” which led to a very fulfilling later career in antiques and collectibles.

He is survived by his daughter, Madeleine Nelson, and son, David Nelson, both of Seattle.

A wake took place on Feb. 21. His engaging personality and beautiful smile will be missed by family and friends.
