Kathleen Sutton, 60

Kathleen Sutton died April 19, 2004. She was 60.

She was born Dec. 31, 1943 in Anacortes and was the adopted daughter of Charles and Sue Staples.

Sutton graduated from Holy Name Academy in Seattle.

She was a tireless volunteer in the Kingston community. She served on many committees and held board positions in her professional career and on political and community-based organizations. She was recognized with accommodations and awards for her endless community contributions.

Sutton is survived by her partner Quentin Gilman of Port Ludlow; sons Charles of Kingston, James (Patricia) of Lake Stevens, Andrew (Eric) of Seattle and Thomas (Alexia) Tasakos of Port Ludlow; sister Mary (Dick) Sommers of Yakima; nine grandchildren; and a large extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. May 7 at the Sons of Norway in Poulsbo. A reception will follow.

Donations can by made to the “Flo-On Association” at any Kitsap Bank location. The “Flo-On Association” is a non-profit organizations created to help breast cancer patients with the financial hardships that occur during the fight against the disease.
