In Loving Memory of Kathleen Renée Sears

It is with immense sadness in our hearts we share that our beloved Renée, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and dear friend arrived in Heaven late April 23rd. We have no doubt that she was met by her beloved dogs, Willie and Maggie.

Renée was born and grew up in Los Angeles, California and found her true home on Bainbridge Island in 1987 when she and her husband relocated. She was active in community affairs and a very avid and talented quilter. She gave freely of her creations to others.

Renée began her career in the insurance industry in 1970, she met Larry in 1986. Renee and Larry opened an insurance agency in 1988 where they continued their careers building Sears & Associates together on Bainbridge Island. She previously held the positions of Treasurer and Secretary of the Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island, in addition to being a Board Member of the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce and holding the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).

Renée cherished all of her friends in this community, and her family thanks you for the friendships each one shared with her. They truly meant the world to Renée.

Renée is survived by her husband Larry, Daughter Shawna Lemke (husband) Rick, Son, Jeremy (wife) Stephanie, Stepson Larry (wife) Heather, Brothers Richard Eker (wife) Kristine & Robert Eker (wife) Terri, granddaughters Jordyn Davis (husband) Mitchell, Taiya, Hailey and grandson Dylan and great-grandchildren Gavin and Addison.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 18th, 2pm at Wing Point Country Club. Please join us.
