John Lund, 83

Poulsbo resident John “Jack” Lund died Dec. 27, 2005 in Bremerton. He was 83.

Lund was born to John and Margaret Lund in Juneau, Alaska on Jan. 3, 1922.

He married Janice B. Pettit on April 3, 1949 in Anaheim, Calif.

Lund was a trapper and hunter in his early years and was a commercial fisherman for 25 years. He was also a master boat builder, working on several boats before building his own.

He is survived by his wife Janice Lund of Poulsbo; son Mike Lund; daughter Marcia Swift; sister Dorothy Gunst; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
