Janet R. Townsend, 75

Janet Ruth Townsend of Poulsbo died Oct. 3, 2007 in Poulsbo. She was 75.

Townsend was born to Edward and Minnie Brocker in Omaha, Neb. on Dec. 9, 1931.

She married Harold Oliver Townsend on Sept. 27, 1952.

Townsend enjoyed being with friends, entertaining, cooking for the holidays, sewing for her grandchildren and oil painting. She was a member of the Poulsbo Art League, and participated in the Old Towne Silverdale Art Walk the past two years.

Townsend is survived by her son Todd (Charity) of Montana; daughter Christine; and grandchildren Lucas, Alaina and Jared.

Arrangements are being handled by Cook Family Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 10 at Vinland Lutheran Church, 2750 Finn Hill Road in Poulsbo.
