James ‘Scotty’ Swift, 74

James “Scotty” Swift of Poulsbo died March 6, 2007. He was 74.

Swift was born to Thomas and Catherine Swift in Motherwell, Scotland on Feb. 25, 1933.

Swift moved to Canada in 1957 and arrived in Poulsbo with his family in 1973.

He worked as a custodian for the North Kitsap School District from 1974 to 1988, when he retired.

Swift is survived by daughters Karyn Swift of Kirkland and Sara Swift of Kirkland; brother Harry Swift of Campbell River, B.C., Canada; and sister Dorothy of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
