James “Jim” Wanner

James “Jim” Wanner, 55

James “Jim” R. Wanner of Poulsbo died March 12, 2007 at his home. He was 55.

Wanner was born to Joseph and Margaret (Halpin) Wanner in Port Angeles on July 1, 1951.

He married Gay Oliphant on July 19, 1969 in Poulsbo.

Wanner graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1969.

He worked for Wilcox Construction in Edmonds from 1976 to 2006, when he retired.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Wanner is survived by his wife Gay Wanner of Poulsbo; sons James Wanner of Poulsbo and Jeff Wanner of Poulsbo; daughter Jennifer (Alex) Johnson of Kingston; brother Tim (Janice) Wanner of Port Angeles; sisters Phyllis (Doug) Ballough of Port Townsend and Patty (Bob) Pastore of Port Angeles; and four grandchildren.

Wanner was preceded in death by his sister Mary Dunn.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. March 24 at The Stone Chapel in Poulsbo. Memorial gifts may be sent to NK Babe Ruth, P.O. Box 1997, Poulsbo, WA 98370.
