James Hoefer, 49

Kingston resident James Hoefer died Aug. 5, 2005 in Kingston. He was 49.

Hoefer was born to Emmet and Ellen Hoefer in Burien on June 4, 1956.

He graduated from Burien High School.

He and brother Rick were co-owners of the Kingston Inn for almost 24 years.

Hoefer was a guitarist for many years with a band and was highly regarded in the community.

Hoefer is survived by daughter Makena of Kingston.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Aug. 14 at the Kingson Yacht Club. Friends and family are invited to share his memories. A potluck will follow.
