James C. Reid, 74

James C. Reid of Poulsbo died June 26, 2007 in Seattle. He was 74.

Reid was born to James Reid Sr. and Jennie (Babare) Reid in Tacoma on Sept. 11, 1932.

He married Ramona A. Wrona.

Reid graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1951.

He worked in the wood industry, and for Pope and Talbot for 32 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1953.

Reid enjoyed woodworking, spending time at his summer cabin and traveling. He was a member of the Western Saw Filers Association.

Reid is survived by his wife Ramona Reid of Poulsbo; son Tad Reid of Bainbridge Island; daughter Karen (David) Porter of Port Ludlow; brother Michael Reid of Duvall; sisters Geraldine Furnia of Montesano and Nancy (Bill) Rambo of Arlington; and three grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. June 30, 2007 at The Stone Chapel.

Memorial gifts may be sent to Children’s Hospital or the Salvation Army in lieu of flowers.
