Helen R. Crowder, 90

Helen Rosina Crowder of Keyport died May 13, 2004 on Bainbridge Island. She was 90.

Crowder was born Dec. 17, 1913 in Seattle to George and Rosina Cook.

She graduated from Ballard High School and several years later married Martin L. Crowder.

They lived in West Seattle until Martin’s retirement in 1972 and then moved to their home at Keyport on Liberty Bay.

Crowder enjoyed her friends, traveling, watercoloring and was an avid gardener.

She and her husband also enjoyed spending part of each winter in either Southern California or Mexico. 

She is survived by son Martin (Diane) of Bainbridge Island; sister, June Samuelson of Vashon Island; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Wyatt House at a later date.  Remembrances may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County, 3100 Bucklin Hill Road, P.O. Box 3426, Silverdale, WA 98383.
