George M. Wilson

George M. Wilson, Indianola, died Dec. 8 on Bainbridge Island. He was 79 years old.

He was born Dec. 11, 1921 in Seattle to Mahlon and Myra (Reasoner) Wilson.

In 1939, he graduated from Lincoln High School. He entered the U.S. Air Corp and rose to the rank of Major. He served in the European Campaign during WWII and flew 28 missions as lead pilot.

He attended the University of Washington School of Architecture and was an architect and builder in the north Seattle area. He enjoyed flying his Cessna, water and snow skiing, sailing, golfing and his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty Wilson of Indianola, son Steven M. Wilson of Manson, daughter Christine W. Cercone of Indianola, granddaughters Ashley Kate Wilson and Danielle Cercone and grandsons Ja
