Emil G. Novak, 87

Suquamish resident Emil George Novak died July 26, 2006 on Bainbridge Island. He was 87.

Novak was born to Vincent Frank Novak and Antoinette Anna Cervenka in Grant County, Ark. on Feb. 2, 1918.

He was married to Martha Novak.

He worked for 38 years with the Department of Defense after serving in World War II with the 13th Airforce in the South Pacific.

He was an avid gardener and was a member of the “American Radio Relay League.”

Novak is survived by his wife Martha Novak; son Daniel Novak; daughter Janet Novak; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. July 31 at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church on Bainbridge Island with the recitation of the Rosary afterwards. Interment will take place at 10:30 a.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. Memorial gifts may be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
