Earl A. Williams, 86

Lifetime Poulsbo resident Earl Arthur Williams died Oct. 2, 2004 in Bremerton. He was 86.

Williams was born on Oct. 11, 1917 in Poulsbo to Arthur M. and Emma C. (Bengtson) Williams.

He married Kathleen Bowen on Dec. 18, 1943.

Williams graduated from North Kitsap High School, Walla Walla College and the University of Washington.

He worked as a dairyman until 1965 and for PSNS as a shipfitter for 35 years until he retired in 1981.

Williams was a member of the Lincoln Heights Grange and enjoyed gardening, building, wood working and metal working. He was an active member of the Poulsbo Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

He is survived his son Kenneth E. Williams; daughters Karen Johnson, Linda D. Weigley and Evelyn Frank; foster daughters Georgianna Akers and Liz Williams; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Williams was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Williams in 1994.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 6 at Poulsbo Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Services will follow at Poulsbo City Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove.
