Dorothy Sawyer, 79

Dorothy Mae Sawyer of Poulsbo died Feb. 6, 2007 in Bremerton. She was 79.

Sawyer was born to Walter Benjamin Swegle and Gertrude Misner in Virgil, Kan. on April 6, 1927.

She married Cletis Saywer and lived in Missouri and Minnesota before moving to Alaska in 1962.

She worked for the Sunshine Biscuit Company in Kansas City and later purchased a fishing resort with her husband in Minnesota.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening and fishing.

Sawyer is survived by her son Ernest (Yvonne) Sawyer of Silverdale; daughter Linda (Terry) Olson of Bainbridge Island; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Poulsbo City Cemetery.
