Dean Farrer

Dean Farrer, 86

Dean Clinton Farrer of Poulsbo died March 2, 2005 in Bremerton. He was 86.

He was born to Aubrey Farrer and Marie (Ferris) Rowley in Yakima on April 25, 1918.

Farrer married Edna (McCorkle) Farrer on Nov. 7, 1942 in Port Angeles.

Farrer graduated from Yakima High School in Yakima.

He served in the Army from 1941 to 1945 and earned rank of Sergeant. He came to Kitsap County in 1951 and worked at Casey’s Ford Garage in Poulsbo in the 1950s and operated the Signal Gas Station at Poulsbo Junction in the 1960s. He retired from Metro in Seattle in 1984.

Farrer enjoyed traveling, sight-seeing, cars and camping in the Pacific Northwest.

He is survived by his son James Dean (Pat) Farrer of Goldendale; daughter Sharon Marie (Dave) Murdock of Poulsbo; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

At his request, no service will be held.
