Dave F. McNeese

Dave F. McNeese, age 71, passed away on April 3, 2015.

Dave was born September 14th, 1943 to Floyd and Bernice (Bright) McNeese in Kirkland WA.

While a young boy the family moved to Okanogan County to Pogue Flat and in 1954 to Happy Hill. Dave loved the ranch and had many good times hunting and raising live stock. As a teenager Dave worked as a ranch hand and cowboy on neighboring ranches. He married Rebecca Goff in 1964 and together they had two children, Cammy and Ryan.

Dave worked most of his life as a member of the Pile Driver’s Union building bridges and other infrastructure, working in Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and Illinois. Local projects of note include the dry docks at Sub Base Bangor, re-building the Hood Canal bridge, the Hwy 20 twin bridges in Anacortes, and the Kingston ferry terminal.

Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, barbecuing, and going to motorcycle races.

He will be missed by family and friends.

Dave is survived by his mother Bernice, daughter Cammy (Kris) Johnson, son Ryan (Julie) McNeese, step-daughters Brandi (Jake) Redden and Dani McNeese, and two step-granddaughters. One brother Steve (Allison) McNeese, sisters Sharon McColm, Gaynell McNeese, and Mary (Dick) Raab, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Floyd McNeese.

A celebration of Dave’s life will be held on June 6th at the Agriplex in Okanogan.
