Clifford Jensen

Clifford N. Jensen, Poulsbo, died in Poulsbo on April 12. He was 91 years old.

He was born Feb. 4, 1911 in Poulsbo to Christian and Nellie (Tarlsen) Jensen in Poulsbo.

He attended school through the eighth grade, then went to work to support his family.

On June 7, 1935, he married Amanda Noll in Poulsbo.

He was a blacksmith for Keyport for 29 years until his retirement in 1961. He also worked as a North Kitsap School District groundsman for two and a half years before retiring.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and watching the Mariners.

He is survived by his wife Amanda of the family home in Poulsbo; daughters Sally Simms, Nancy (Doug) Erstad, and Peggy (David) Stanley, all of Poulsbo; sisters Barbara Page, Texas, and Colleen Swanson, Poulsbo; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Harry, Buddy and Kenny and sisters Francis Iverson and Edna Smith.

A memorial service was held at Christ Memorial Church in Poulsbo on April 19.
