Clarice L. Hansbrough

Clarice L. Hansbrough, 82

Hansville resident Clarice L. Hansbrough died Dec. 31, 2005 on Bainbridge Island. She was 82.

Hansbrough was born Aug. 15, 1923 in Alexandria, Minn. to William and Myrtle Peterson.

She married Robert Hansbrough in Muskegon, Mich.

Hansbrough graduated from Hope College in Holland, Mich. and the University of Washington in Seattle.

She was a teacher in Holland, South Haven and Romulus, Mich. She also started a library at the Issaquah public school.

Hansbrough was an avid reader and was active in the Reformed Church of America.

She is survived by her husband Robert Hansbrough of Hansville; son Don Hansbrough of Seattle; daughters Elizabeth (Dave) Kryger of Carnation and Anne C. Deer of Vashon Island; brother Burt Peterson; sisters Ardyce Wolfe, Amy Hodson and Teresa Vanderley; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Myrtle Peterson and brother Bob.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 14 at Redeemer United Methodist Church in Kingston.
