Barb was born in Seattle on May 26th 1942. The family moved to Poulsbo in 1945.

After a ten-month battle with cancer, Barb left us suddenly in her sleep on December 3rd, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard (Mitch) Mitchusson.

She is survived by her older sister Patricia (Michael) Bailey, her niece Andrea Adkins (Buster), her stepdaughter Rhonda Mitchusson and her stepson Rick (Denise) Mitchusson.

Barb taught special education for 30 years, and her travels took her to Korea, Georgia, Olympia, Ocean Shores and Aberdeen. She returned to her childhood home in Poulsbo at age 52. For the next 26 years, she was a tireless volunteer to the community. She volunteered at The Sons of Norway, Friends of the Library and the Historical Society. She enjoyed going to the Jewel Box Theater and gathering with friends at the Sons of Norway. Barb loved her cats, gardening, reading and her dear friends.

Barb will be truly missed by her friends and loved ones.

Many thanks to the friends and medical workers who all took care of her in her time of need. She was truly grateful.
