Barbara B. Weiss of Port Gamble died Nov. 11, 2006 in Bremerton. She was 72.

Weiss was born to Kynaston and Martha Hilton Joyce in Port Gamble on June 18, 1934.

She married Richard “Spider” Weiss in August 1953 in Port Gamble. She graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1952.

Weiss was a lifelong housewife, who loved to play cards and enjoyed spending time with family, friends and her husband, “Spider.”

Weiss is survived by her husband Richard “Spider” Weiss of Poulsbo; son Richard C. (Valaree) Weiss, Jr. of Gig Harbor; daughters Kathy (Darrell) Hogue of Seabeck and Kristy (Rick) Whitcher of Bremerton; sister Margaret (Bob) Smith of Mount Vernon; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Weiss was preceded in death by her step sister.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Poulsbo Stone Chapel.
