Amy Pearson

Amy Pearson, died June 19 at the Kitsap Hospice Care Center in Bremerton. She was 77.

Pearson was born to Lillian (Ekman) and Donovan Adams Oct. 16, 1932, in Lawler, Minn. She attended Bremerton High and graduated in 1951 from Broadway High in Seattle.

She wrote a popular weekly column, “Route Two” for the Kitsap County Herald in the late 1950s.

She is survived by her husband, Philip Pearson; sister Roselyn Romano; daughters Dawn Cole, Roberta McCrary, Tamra Gunderson and Delza Embree; sons David Brockerman and Glenn Russell; stepsons Dan and Jeff Pearson; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

Services will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at Miller-Woodlawn in Bremerton.
