Alice Viola Johnsen, 83

Alice Viola Johnsen died at her home in Seattle June 1, in the loving care of her three children Jenene, Herb and Larry and two grandchildren Kelly Jorgensen and Lauren Johnsen.

She was born August 31, 1924, in Breidablik to her parents Viola Beatrice Wistrand Johnson and James Albert Johnson.

Johnsen is preceded in death by her parents and by her brothers Vernon and Elmer Johnson; her sister Winnie Ruthruff and by her husband Einar Johnsen.

She is survived by her three children, six grandchildren Sherry, Darin, Carl, Kelly, Kristiana, and Lauren; eight great grandchildren Alicia, Travis, Ariel, Taylor, Ryan, Patricia, Nicole and Nik; and one great-great grandson Korbin.

Services take place at 1 p.m. June 7 at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills in Lynnwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Johnsen to either the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle or Providence Hospice of Seattle Foundation.
