Alice Baker, 93
Lemolo resident Alice Baker died Jan. 4, 2006 in Poulsbo. She was 93.
She was born to Ferdinand and Seraphina Peterson in Keyport on Aug. 9, 1912.
She was raised in Lemolo and graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1931 with perfect attendance. She worked as a doctor’s assistant in Seattle for many years and in her later years, worked in a bakery on Bainbridge Island. She also raised her sister’s two children.
She was a member of the Ballard Baptist Church in Seattle and was a long-time member of the North Kitsap Baptist Church.
She taught Sunday school classes and sang in the choir. She also loved gardening, crocheting, walking, traveling (Alaska and Europe) and visiting with her many friends.
She is survived by her niece Shirley Bauer of Redmond and nephew Ron Baker of Medford, Ore. She was preceded in death by her sister Agnes and brother Ralph.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 13 at the North Kitsap Baptist Church in Poulsbo. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Stone Chapel.
