Alf K. Eikum, 72
Former Poulsbo resident Alf K. Eikum died June 18, 2006 in Enumclaw. He was 72.
Eikum was born Feb. 1, 1934 in Poulsbo.
Eikum graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1952. He received a bachelor’s degree in physical metallurgy from Washington State University, a master’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a doctorate from the University of Birmingham, England.
He enjoyed astronomy, vintage airplanes, old cowboy movies, World War II history and hunting.
Eikum is survived by wife Donna Eikum of Enumclaw; daughters Lynn (Joe) Zambrano of Bigfork, Mont., Valerie (Mark) Skaggs of Enumclaw and Kirsten (Chuck) Eikum-Plummer of Bellingham; sisters-in-law Helen Eikum of Port Angeles, Alida Eikum of Seattle and Florence Eikum of Poulsbo; and three grandchildren.
