South Kitsap School District and the Arts4Learning Program will present Young Artists in Action on Wednesday, May 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the South Kitsap High School Commons and Theater.

The event will feature student artists and dancers from Burley Glenwood, East Port Orchard, Sidney Glen, South Colby, and Sunnyslope Elementary schools and the Community Transition Program.

Arts4Learning is a program created through a community partnership and is funded by the South Kitsap School District and a Community Consortia Grant from the Washington State Arts Commission.

Arts4Learning provides Arts4Kids instruction in visual arts and dance during Wednesday collaboration time at five SKSD elementary schools.

Children served by the grant do not pay to participate in the art or dance programs.

Program instructors are community artists that are experts in their field.
