You’d better not shout, better not cry

Better not pout either, it’s just not very grown up at all. While we don’t know when you’ve been sleeping, or when you’ve been awake (that’d just be freaky), chances are we know when you’ve been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake. Although we’re not coming to town, seeing as we’ve been here since 1901, the North Kitsap Herald has received the official OK from Santa Claus to dole out some candy canes and coal the week before Christmas.

We’ve made a list and checked it twice, but, not being as omnipotent as the jolly old elf, we might just have missed a few who have been naughty or nice. Anyway, here goes …

Coal

Maple tree thieves, folks who didn’t support the reopening of the Poulsbo Marine Science Center, Washington State Ferries, Washington State Department of Health (the baked goods regulations at farmers markets were a little much), sewage leakers, oil spillers, anyone who had their car alarm go off on the ferries.

Candy Canes

Dick Endresen, Bethany McDonald, Bob Blake, Bight of Poulsbo, Ardis Morrow, Muriel Williams, Stillwaters, Hansville Greenways Association, North Kitsap School District, our readers, our advertisers, Aqua Express, Jim Turner and family, Bill Austin, Operation Christmas Child, Habitat for Humanity, Poulsbo-North Kitsap Rotary, Kingston-North Kitsap Rotary, area food banks, Poulsbo Noon Lions, Kingston Kiwanis, Kingston Revitalization Association, Kingston and Suquamish sub-area planners and working groups, Historic Downtown Poulsbo Association, everyone who ran for office this year, everyone who voted this year, Bonnie Issacs, Christy Cole, anyone who volunteered, anyone who gave to Bellringer, anyone who read to a child … pretty much anyone who went out of their way to make North Kitsap a better place in 2005 and the years to come.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
