Woman seeks return of stolen cat

Suspect stayed at family home on Dwight Street in Port Orchard

A woman called Port Orchard Police Friday afternoon to report that a man she’d recently let live with her family had stolen some makeup, kitchen utensils and the family kitten.

The alleged crime occurred in the 1400 block of Dwight Street.

According to the report, the victim contacted the alleged thief to ask about the 6-month-old kitten and was told by the alleged thief that he did not take the kitten.

The report did not specify if the thief also denied taking the makeup and kitchen stuff, which police gave a $20 value.

The woman told police that she was not interested in the stolen items, but only the kitten, which belonged to her children. Police valued the kitten at $1.
