MANCHESTER — After being arrested and booked for drunk driving and hit-and-run charges, a 50-year-old woman also was charged with drug possession on Sunday, April 21.
Catherine Ann Talley, of Port Orchard, was charged with controlled substance without a prescription in Kitsap County District Court on April 22.
According to charging documents, Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a caller that reported a dark colored Honda driven by Talley allegedly had struck a building near the intersection of Colchester Drive and Main Street and that the vehicle was “driving sideways” to get away from the scene, according to the KCSO report.
The crash caused severe damage to the building resulting in a wall being caved in and windows shattered at Edward Jones office.
When deputies arrived they found a 1987 Honda Prelude crashed into a ditch on Madrone Avenue.
Talley was taken into custody by deputies and was originally booked with driving under the influence and hit and run. Her blood-alcohol level was .23, the report stated.
Deputies also reported that when she was taken to Kitsap County Jail, investigators found a prescription pill bottle containing four Hydrocodone pills and 1.5 tablets of Provigil. Drug possession charges were later added.
Bail was set at $10,000.
