Winter Fest lights up Quincy Square with tree lighting, Santa’s arrival

Bremerton’s Quincy Square drew families downtown as Winter Fest brought live performances, holiday shopping and the lighting of a 25-foot Noble fir Christmas tree to Fourth Street Nov. 29.

The festival marked the start of the holiday season in Bremerton. Attendees filled the square for youth performances, Santa’s arrival, live music and a holiday market featuring handmade goods, food and hot drink vendors. Throughout the day, participating businesses in the downtown area offered specials, extended hours and winter-themed activities as part of the celebration.

The Quincy Square Holiday Market stretched across the festival footprint, offering face painting, vendor booths and sponsor tents where children created ornaments and other arts and crafts. Evergreen Pizza Co. hosted a beer and cider garden for guests 21 and older.

Santa’s Workshop provided families with free professional photos with Santa, a festively decorated space and a build-your-own hot cocoa station. The workshop was hosted by Kitsap Homes of Compassion.

The run of show began with youth dance and theater groups, followed by Santa’s grand entrance. Acoustic musician Analisa Reyes and Kourtney’s Band later performed.

The tree lighting ceremony drew a crowd as a 25-foot live Noble fir in front of the Roxy Theatre was illuminated. Westsound Youth For Christ closed out the night with a performance.
